Mother of the bride
Our mothers are loved and sometimes we could shoot them to the moon. Normal, perfectly normal.
On your wedding day, of course, the bride has a clear advantage.
You have got the best impression of your mother during the whole phase of wedding planning.
Some bride’s mothers are not only helpful at the side, they interfere massively in the organization of the wedding.
Well-behaved daughters then often ask me how I can elegantly and subtly rein in Mummy.
In fact, it is often astonishing that brides do not dare to tell their mothers about their wedding wishes. When my godchildren get married, I will try to keep my temper and really only pick up the dreams of the two of them.
There’s no room for your own ideas or what you’ve missed.
The mother of the bride can be of service to your daughter on her wedding day. “Assign” your mother and also the mother-in-law clear tasks.
Many mothers would like to make place cards, help the guests on the wedding day with the seating, distribute gifts etc. As a wedding planner, I am of course also grateful to get help on the wedding day.
It only becomes difficult when the mother of the bride is jealous because she would have liked to be the one to plan the wedding with her daughter.
Warmly,
